A recent notice of proposed rule making published by the EPA’s Office of Land and Emergency Management could have a very positive impact on PEs across the nation. Specifically, the proposed EPA rule seeks to modify the current regulations regarding Risk Management Programs. The regulation sought comments on whether PEs are best qualified to perform auditing services at chemical facilities that distribute and handle hazardous chemicals.
