Guarantee: The VSPE Board of Directors recently approved the policy that will allow VSPE members who take the PE (Civil) Review Course to retake the review course for $250 if they did not pass the PE exam.

"I just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know that I passed the PE when I sat for it in April. We just received notification on the State website yesterday.
I credit this course and the instructors with playing a major role in helping me pass. I did not major in engineering in college, I majored in biology and started working in the engineering field and have worked my way up, so I lacked some, if not all, of the academic background for the PE.
My biggest fear in signing up for this class was that it would be taught at a level that I wasn’t suited for. Mainly, that the instructors would assume that everyone in the class had sufficient background that they wouldn’t have to explain the basics. Of course, with me, that was not the case.
Every single instructor took the time to answer all of my questions, including the most basic. I think at one point Bill Davidge was about to pull out his hair when I asked him how to generate a moment diagram, but he took the time to explain it to me and after that, I had a very good handle on moment diagrams. Which served me quite well since one of the questions on the Morning Session was to generate a moment diagram. I credit Bill with getting that one right for me.
I’ve singled out Bill with an example, but I certainly don’t mean to leave out Aaron, Jim, Steve, Jerry and Becky. They all did a great job. Bill’s effort was typical of all the instructors and the example that stands out the most to me.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: VSPE is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers to offer on-line review courses for the P.E. civil and the P.E. mechanical as well as the Fundamentals of Engineering. Individuals from Virginia – members and non-members – will have the opportunity to take these courses via a webinar offered by MSPE. The F.E. course is $350 for members; $550 for non-members. The P.E. civil and mechanical course is $600 for members; $850 for non-members. Individual sessions can also be taken at the member rate of $60 each or $95 each for non-members. The class will utilize textbooks published by Professional Publications, Inc. (PPI). Textbooks must be purchased separately and are not included in the above registration fee.
