Join us at the George Mason University Science & Technology Campus in Manassas for an educational ethics seminar and facility tour Wednesday April 30th.

The day begins with networking and continental breakfast between 9:00 and 9:30, with the welcome and overview of the GMU Engineering Department from Dr. Kenneth E. Ball, PE.

Our first technical session, Teaching Ethics in an Engineering Curriculum, highlights the experience of Dr. James Groves from UVA. The Seminar then provides insights from VSPE’s Board of Director and subject matter expert on DCR’s stormwater technical review committee, Channing Blackwell, PE of The Blackwell Group, titled Ethical Practices Among Engineers in the Workplace. Dr. Groves and Channing then team together in a moderated panel discussion with attendees on Engineering and Ethics.

The morning wraps up with State of the Semiconductor Industry in Virginia and the U.S. presented by Micron Technology, Inc. who designs, develops and manufactures industry-leading memory and storage products. Lunch is included with an Optional Tour of the GMU SciTech Facility and Labs from 12:30 to 1:30.

Up to three (3) hours of Continuing Education are available.
